About our primary staff: Marco Moor is the owner and primary specialist at Lifestyle Hearing in Port Charlotte. He is an U.S. Air Force Academy graduate and was an active duty Air Force Pilot for 9 years. After having children, Marco and his wife, Eve, decided it was time to change careers and move closer to family. Marco left active duty, joined the Air Force Reserve as a Pilot and began working with his father again. Marco’s transition to a full time hearing specialist was quite natural as he has been observing and working with his father (Alex) since he was seven. Alex Moor’s knowledge in the hearing industry spans over 40 years. He has worked with essentially every manufacturer, every brand, every style, and has been a huge asset to our operations. Alex began working in the hearing industry when body hearing aids were the norm. Eyeglass hearing aids came next. He witnessed the precursor and evolution of in the ear hearing devices. His work in the early 70s helped form the basis for studies with regards to the fitting and dispensing of hearing aids. The shell modifications and hearing enhancing techniques in today’s textbooks didn’t exist in the early 70’s, but were developed by our eldest hearing dispensers. His mentorship make all of us feel like we’ve been in the industry for decades. Eve Moor has been an Occupational Therapist for 15 years. She became a hearing specialist in 2004 and does a lot of work behind the scenes. She has always been dedicated to helping others Our family oriented style of care is something we take pride in.
